Nicola Sivori (left), Charity Committee Chairperson at Brammer UK, part of Europe’s leading distributor of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) products and services, presents a cheque for £20,000 to Karen England (right), Director of Fundraising at Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK.
The presentation, which took place at Brammer’s highly successful Manufacturing Forum held at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester, brings the total raised by Brammer for the charity to more than £120,000 since early 2007.
Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses, and has granted more than 7,000 wishes since the charity was established in 1986.
Fundraising efforts undertaken by Brammer staff nationwide this year have included a 686 mile cycle tour around 16 Brammer locations in Scotland and Northern Ireland, climbing Snowdon and the BUPA Great North Run.
Nicola Sivori commented: “The money raised this year demonstrates our commitment to Make-A-Wish, which is a very deserving cause and one that Brammer is only too happy to support. The difference that a charity like Make-A-Wish can make to children with life-threatening illnesses is remarkable, and we are proud to have continued our association with the charity since 2007.”
